Sorry, it's too well written, thought out and comical to be a real interview. Great satire though.

Nah. A satire would have been more heavyhanded -- for instance, by having her praise Donna and admit to acquiring her political views while tripping to Day Job. But what's most interesting is that you can see her using the same "logic" that she does when she bloviates on air.

For instance, she misreads why people may not like Alabama Getaway, implying it's some anti-business bias rather than a reaction to the song.

And the Phil comment twists what is generally said in that regard, too. "When Phil is on, the band is on" is not the same as "Phil makes the band." She sort of invents an argument there, implying that somehow there were folks who didn't see Jerry as The Main Ingredient, and that JG's death proved them wrong. Which is a paper tiger.

Also, she's real slippery, not naming actual shows and so on.

So it seems to me like typical Ann Coulter thinking, applied to the GD instead of politics ...

Incidentally, I have nothing against Ann Coulter identifying as a Deadhead, right along with the Hell's Angels, Tipper Gore, and anyone else who likes the music. It's not as if there's a Deadhead Test -- beyond, of course, crying over the fate of sentient beings :-)

I'd actually be curious to know what shows she really went to, though, since I suspect, from her age and where she went to college, that we'd have overlapped some ... and that's just SUCH a funny thought.
